Classes
Instruction in manners is provided in a variety of classes for different ages and occasions. Mimi’s Manners originated as a class for children ages 6 – 12 but quickly grew over the years into offerings for other ages and for different occasions.
Each class covers a variety of basic manners and the majority of classes are conducted during a three-course meal. The location of the classes vary from the private dining rooms of Ritz-Carlton hotels to meeting rooms for Girl Scout troops. The size of the class is typically confined to less than 20 students however a more general overview of manners has been created and given to groups of 200 and up.

Young Ladies & Gentlemen
We have found that one of the best ways for children and young adults to learn about manners is to practice them in a “real-life” situation with peers Mimi’s Manners Etiquette Classes give children the opportunity to learn manners from a professional instructor in a nice setting.
The classes are typically two-hours in length and include introductions, handshakes, and proper dining conversation all during a three-course meal. Children also learn about respect, consideration and how to write (or draw) a thank-you note. Children receive a workbook, a manners’ reminder card, and a certificate of completion.

Teen and Graduates
Manners matter at this age more than ever. While the younger children may be given lienancy because of their age, teenagers should know better and are expected to know how to behave in social situations.
Proper manners become increasingly important as teens start dating and begin interviewing for jobs. Possessing solid social or people skills is critical to the success of an individual. A study conducted by Harvard, Standford and the Carnegie Foundation concluded that only 15% of the reason a person gets a job, keeps a job and advances in a job it due to educational skills. 85% is due to their “people skills”.
In this class, students will learn the important skills to help prepare them for future successes in life. Students will learn proper handshakes & introductions; appropriate usage of technology & Social Media; conversation skills; how to be a lady or gentlemen on a date; and more while navigating through a three-course meal. Students receive a workbook filled will valuable information and resources.
